In a move aimed at improving the welfare of public servants in Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke has announced the implementation of a new minimum wage of N75,554.28 for all categories of workers, including local government employees across the state. This development is set to commence on December 1, 2024.
As part of the new wage structure, the state government will also pay one month's arrears to all public servants in the state. This decision is expected to bring relief to workers who have been awaiting the implementation of the new minimum wage.
In addition to the new minimum wage, Governor Adeleke has approved an improved pension package of N25,000 for all pensioners in the state. This move is aimed at alleviating the suffering of senior citizens in the state, who have been affected by the current economic situation.
The Osun State government's decision to implement the new minimum wage and approve an improved pension package is a demonstration of its commitment to the welfare of its citizens, particularly public servants and pensioners.
