Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria – May 15, 2026(Series News Online)- Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, citing unresolved internal crises within the party that have affected his political aspirations.
In a letter dated May 14, 2026, addressed to the Ward Chairman of APC Rafin Zuru Ward in Zuru Local Government Area, Maidoki said his decision followed careful consideration of the party’s current state.
“I am writing to inform you of the withdrawal of my membership from the All Progressives Congress, APC, Rafin Zuru Ward,” the senator stated in the resignation letter.
He explained that the lingering internal crises within the APC had made it difficult to pursue his political objectives under the party’s platform.
“My decision is based on the lingering internal crises of the APC that has made my political aspirations a source of concern,” he wrote.
Maidoki, who chairs the Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance and serves as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Information and National Orientation, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve under the APC.
“I thank you for the opportunity to serve under the umbrella of the Party,” he said.
The senator concluded the letter by extending his regards to the ward leadership.
“Please accept the assurances of my esteemed regards,” he added.
The resignation comes as political realignments continue ahead of the next election cycle in Kebbi State.
