The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 1,850 personnel to ensure a seamless and secured yuletide celebration in Kogi State. The personnel were carefully selected by Kogi State Commandant of NSCDC, Esther Akinlade, from various units, including Operations, Special Rapid Response, Agro Rangers, Female Squad Intelligence, and Critical National Assets Infrastructure departments.

The deployment is part of the NSCDC's efforts to guarantee a crime-free environment in the state before, during, and after the festive period. Considering Kogi State's unique border situation, with nine neighboring states and the Federal Capital Territory, the NSCDC is working in conjunction with sister agencies to maintain law and order.

Commandant Akinlade has urged the youth to refrain from engaging in any form of social misconduct or unlawful activities that could disrupt the peace. She also encouraged the public to observe the celebrations with moderation and to report any credible information regarding criminal activities or hideouts to the relevant authorities.

The NSCDC's commitment to ensuring a hitch-free yuletide celebration is evident in their proactive approach to security. By deploying personnel strategically and engaging with the community, the agency aims to preserve the relative peace in the state.
