Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has called on Christians in the state to use the Christmas season to pray for prevailing peace across Nigeria and quick economic recovery.

In a goodwill message to Christian faithful in the state, Governor Idris advised Christians to see Christmas as a period of prayer, showing love, and sober reflection. He urged them to fervently pray for peace across Nigeria and for God's intervention to fix the country's lingering economic challenges.

Governor Idris also admonished Christians to extend hands of friendship to both Christians and non-Christians alike, promoting unity and understanding amongst Nigerians. He encouraged them to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Isah, which emphasize tolerance, humility, love, trust, and forgiveness.

The governor reminded Christians that Christmas is not just a celebration, but also a period for mending relationships through forgiveness, accommodating one another, and making people happy. He assured the Christian faithful that his administration is committed to carrying all manner of people along and urged them to uphold the good virtues of Christianity as enshrined in holy scriptures.
