The Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria (AMDON), Kebbi chapter, has inaugurated its newly elected executives to pilot the affairs of the association for the next four years. The election, which was conducted on January 4, 2025, produced Alhaji Usman Abubakar-Danladi as chairman of the association, along with other officials.
The newly inaugurated executives include Abbas Umar-Jega as Vice Chairman, Shehu Bunza as Secretary, Ishaku Aliyu as Assistant Secretary, Imam Abdulkadir as Treasurer, and Hamza Mahutu as Assistant Treasurer, among others. The National President of AMDON, Mr. Ajibola Adedoyin, represented by the North-West Zonal Secretary, Alhaji Nasiru Atiku-Baba, lauded the cordial working relationship between the association and the Kebbi Government under Governor Nasir Idris.
"Leadership is a trust and a heavy burden to carry," Atiku-Baba said. "You must know that you will account for your stewardship both here and hereafter." He commended the outgoing executives for their service and urged the new leadership to strengthen cooperation with security agencies in the state and across the country.
In his acceptance speech, Abubakar-Danladi pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors and promote unity among members. "We will work tirelessly to ensure the progress and development of our association and the state at large," he said.
The outgoing Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Bala-Kalgo, expressed appreciation to Governor Idris for his continuous support to the association. He also commended Dr. Sani Tunga and Alhaji Mukhtar Sarki-Jega for their contributions toward ensuring stability and unity of the association in the state. "I urge our members across the 21 local government areas of the state to continue to support the leadership of the association for their collective progress and development of the state," he said.
