The First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has urged members of the Women in Da'wah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association to embody the Islamic values they propagate and strive for spiritual growth. She emphasized the crucial role women play in promoting Islamic teachings and values in the community.
Speaking through the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Halimat Muhammad Bande, during the inauguration of the newly elected executive of the association in Ambursa Town, Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, the First Lady said, "As role models, it is imperative that women in Da'wah foster a culture of spiritual growth, compassion, and community service that inspires others to follow suit."
She encouraged the women to channel their blessings into assisting others who are less fortunate, highlighting that this is a key aspect of Islamic teachings. "Let your actions reflect the true spirit of Da'wah, and may your good deeds serve as a guiding light for others," she added.
In a related remark, Hajiya Nana Asmau Alkali, wife of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), commended the Women in Dawah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association for their impactful initiatives across the state. She advised women to cultivate greater respect for their spouses and adopt loving approaches in their interactions with their husbands to foster stronger family bonds.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad Maikurata, commended the First Lady for her support initiative in the state and assured that efforts would be made to spread the association's initiatives across all 21 local government areas.
The Chairman of Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, Alhaji Nayayah Ambursa, demonstrated his support by donating N1 million to the association. The Women in Da'wah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association, fully sponsored by the First Lady, aims to empower women through Islamic education and community development initiatives.
