Bauchi Governor Urges Sustenance of Ramadan Lessons at Eid-el-Fitr"

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has called on Muslim faithful to allow the lessons learned during Ramadan to guide their actions and utterances beyond the holy month. In a message marking this year's Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the governor described the occasion as a moment to revive the sense of Tawhid and feel the joy of having fasted, prayed, and immersed themselves in worship.

"As a sacred day, the Eid-el-Fitr should not only be turned into a mere holiday defined by pomp and pageantry, but should be used as an occasion to atone for our shortcomings and resolve to take corrective measures towards improving our relationship with Allah, fellow Muslim Ummah, and adherents of other faiths," Governor Mohammed emphasized.

He urged Muslims to emulate Prophet Muhammad by making sacrifices for the benefit of the less privileged and praying for peace, unity, and prosperity in Bauchi State and the country as a whole. The governor also appealed for continued understanding, cooperation, and support from citizens towards achieving peaceful coexistence among diverse ethnic and religious groups in the state.

Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed also called for tolerance, accommodation, and understanding among various ethnic, religious, and political groups in the state. "As we approach the half-mark of our second and final term, I want to assure you that our government will not only sustain the tempo in providing the dividends of democracy but would strive to improve upon its performance in this regard," he said.

The governor acknowledged the economic difficulties facing the country and the state, assuring citizens that his administration is working to improve the situation and provide robust social protection mechanisms to address citizens' challenges.
