Bauchi Governor Solicits Traditional Rulers' Backing for Developmental Goals"

Bauchi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to bringing about positive change in the lives of its citizens, ensuring their lives and property are well protected. According to Governor Bala Mohammed, the government aims to create an environment where citizens can pursue their lawful activities without hindrance.

While speaking during a Sallah homage paid by the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, Governor Mohammed explained that his administration has embarked on providing infrastructural facilities and social amenities across the state since 2019. "Ours is a government that is determined to do more with the little resources at its disposal," he emphasized.

The Governor, represented by his deputy, Auwal Mohammed Jatau, called on traditional rulers to educate their people about the government's efforts and appealed for their continued understanding and support. He reminded the Emir of the crucial role traditional rulers play in maintaining law and order in their domains through vigilance and prayers.

Governor Mohammed acknowledged recent security challenges in border communities, including kidnapping and banditry, and appealed to traditional rulers to urge their people to be vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies. "As we strive to invite investors to the state, we cannot afford to allow security challenges to discourage them," he stated.

The Governor appreciated the traditional rulers' support and honor, saying the understanding between the government and traditional institution will strengthen their relationship. Earlier, the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, appreciated Governor Mohammed's administration for its support to traditional rulers and promised their continued support.

The Emir called on Muslim faithful to embody the virtues of Ramadan, redouble their worship, and maintain peaceful coexistence. He emphasized the importance of worship, peaceful coexistence, and education, urging parents and guardians to monitor their children's activities and ensure they acquire both Western and Islamic education. The Emir commended the Bauchi State Government for providing dividends of democracy to citizens.
