Gov Nasir Idris Mourns Argungu Leader Salihu KC

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Salihu Ahmad KC, Ubandawakin Kabi, who passed away on Sunday night at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.

Describing the deceased as a man of the people, Governor Idris said: "Peace be upon you all. As the MC stated, the purpose of our visit is to condole with the family and friends over the passing of our brother and friend, Alhaji Salihu K.C. Ubandawakin Kabi. He was a man of the people, marked by humility, loyalty, and dedication to public service."

The Governor prayed for the deceased, saying: "Allah tested him with a prolonged illness, and he passed away the day before yesterday. We pray that Allah has mercy on his soul, grants him eternal rest, forgives him, and protects those he left behind."

Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Architect Muhammad Sani.

The late Hon. Salihu Ahmad KC, 52, served as Special Adviser to the Governor and was a former Chairman of Argungu Local Government. He is survived by four wives and 15 children.

Governor Idris was received by his Deputy, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, and accompanied by several dignitaries, including Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, and Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Minister of State Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
