Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has felicitated with Muslims in the state and beyond on the occasion of Eid- el-Fitr, urging them to uphold the noble lessons of Ramadan.
"Eid-el-Fitr is a moment of gratitude, spiritual renewal, and sober reflection," the Governor said. "The holy month of Ramadan offers a unique opportunity for believers to purify their hearts, strengthen their faith, and draw closer to Allah through fasting, prayers, charity, and acts of kindness."
Governor Idris emphasized that the virtues of Ramadan, including sacrifice, patience, compassion, and discipline, should not end with the holy month but guide daily life. "These virtues should continue to guide our daily life," he said.
He called on Muslims to emulate the exemplary character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whose life remains a shining model of humility, mercy, justice, and peaceful coexistence. "The enduring message of Islam is one of peace, love, mutual respect, and service to humanity," he said.
The Governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah for witnessing another Eid-el-Fitr celebration and prayed that Almighty Allah accepts all acts of worship performed during Ramadan and grants lasting solutions to challenges confronting individuals and the nation.
Governor Idris reassured the people of Kebbi State of his administration's commitment to sustaining developmental strides and expanding opportunities for the vulnerable and less-privileged. "My administration remains focused, resolute, and undistracted by pessimism or needless criticism," he said.
