President Bola Tinubu has praised Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris for his remarkable achievements in infrastructure development, describing him as a visionary leader with the people's interest at heart.
"Inaugurating the ultra-modern State Secretariat Complex, named after me, is a testament to Governor Idris' commitment to modernizing administrative infrastructure," Tinubu said on Saturday.
"I know what you can do. You are a man of mission and vision. I am always proud of you," he added, commending Idris' people-oriented projects across the state.
Tinubu described Idris as a focused and visionary leader, saying, "Gov. Idris is a brother, friend, and committed leader."
The president also commended the people of Kebbi State for their support and cooperation with the present administration, saying it had contributed significantly to the achievements recorded under Idris' leadership.
"The solidarity has helped us achieve these milestones," he said, reiterating the Federal Government's commitment to supporting states in delivering democratic dividends to Nigerians.
The inaugurated projects include the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park, Emir Haruna Road dual carriageway, Kauran Gwandu College of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences, and the dualized Old Argungu By-Pass.
The ultra-modern secretariat complex, initially started in 2012, was completed under Idris' administration, showcasing the state's commitment to modernizing administrative infrastructure.
Tinubu's visit coincided with the grand finale of the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, where he was the Special Guest of Honour.
