Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has inaugurated 21 Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope agenda, tasking them to Mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027.
At the inauguration ceremony held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Birnin Kebbi, on Monday, Governor Idris expressed his delight with the program, saying it would enhance public participation in governance and improve policy awareness at the grassroots level. "The coordinators are expected to serve as effective channels for communicating the policies, programmes, and achievements of President Tinubu and his administration to the grassroots," he said.
The Governor assured the ambassadors of the state government's support and pledged to provide an enabling environment for their effective discharge of duties. "Kebbi State's active participation in Federal Government projects and programmes remains a core priority of my administration, aimed at maximizing development opportunities for the benefit of the people," he added.
Kebbi State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, ACG (rtd) Sambo Gwandu, stated that the 21 Local Government Coordinators would ensure massive grassroots mobilisation by conveying the achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Idris to the people. "We will work diligently to mobilise support for both the President and the Governor at the grassroots level," he said.
Gwandu highlighted key achievements of President Tinubu's administration, including bold economic reforms, infrastructure projects, and social intervention programmes. He cited the removal of fuel subsidy and foreign exchange restrictions, major road projects, and initiatives to enhance access to education and healthcare.
APC State Chairman Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru called on party members to remain united and cooperate fully with their coordinators to achieve the objectives of the Renewed Hope Programme. "We must work together to ensure the success of this initiative," he said.
