The Kebbi State Government has appealed to residents to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a warm welcome during his visit to the state on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

In a statement, Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, urged residents to showcase the state's hospitality while hosting national and international dignitaries. "We appeal to the people of Kebbi to come out in large numbers to welcome President Tinubu and make his visit memorable," he said.

President Tinubu is expected to commission several projects, including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu State Secretariat Complex, Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park, and the Argungu dual carriageway, among others. He will also attend the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.

However, some roads in Birnin Kebbi and Argungu will be temporarily closed to facilitate presidential movements. Alhaji Ahmed appealed to motorists and commuters to bear with the brief inconvenience. "We urge citizens to remain law-abiding, peaceful, welcoming, and courteous to project a positive image of the state," he added.

The Commissioner stressed that the conduct of residents would shape global perceptions of Kebbi State, with international visitors already arriving for the festival.
