Kebbi Governor Wishes Nigerians Joyous Christmas, Prosperous New Year

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has extended warm wishes to Nigerians as they celebrate Christmas and usher in the New Year. The statement, signed by Alhaji Yahaya Sarki, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, was made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

In the statement, Governor Idris described the yuletide as a period of "joy, reflection, fervent prayers, and sharing of love and kindness among citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences."

The Governor emphasized Nigeria's diversity is a "divine design intended to strengthen unity, peaceful coexistence, and national cohesion." He urged citizens to promote tolerance and mutual understanding for sustainable development.

"Nigerians should remain hopeful, determined, and confident that the country will witness improved economic and social conditions in the near future," he said, citing collective government efforts to enhance living standards.

Governor Idris reaffirmed his administration's commitment to steering Kebbi State towards greater heights, highlighting achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and social empowerment.

He appealed to affluent citizens to support the less privileged, promoting peace and collective progress. "Such acts of compassion would promote peace, harmony, and collective progress across Kebbi State and the country," he said.

The Governor expressed appreciation to Kebbi residents for their love and support, assuring them of his resolve not to betray their trust.
