The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has held a strategic conference with senior police officers to discuss pressing security challenges in the state. The conference aimed to adopt a comprehensive crime prevention approach to curtail emerging threats and effectively combat them.

During the conference, CP Dantawaye restated his resolve to improve the capacity of police officers in the state through ongoing combat operations training. "We are committed to improving the safety of lives and properties in Kogi State," he said. The CP emphasized the importance of interagency cooperation in tackling security challenges in the state.

Dantawaye also called on the good people of Kogi State to collaborate with the police through information sharing. "Community participation in crime prevention through information sharing is key for effective policing in the state," he stressed. He charged area commanders and divisional police officers to have effective community engagement and hold strategic meetings with critical stakeholders to address major security challenges in their areas.

The conference is part of the police command's efforts to enhance security in Kogi State. The police commissioner assured the public that the command is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and properties.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, the conference was a crucial step in addressing security challenges in the state. The Kogi State Police Command is working tirelessly to ensure that the state remains safe and secure for all residents.
