"APC Youth Parliament Praises Shettima's UN Speech, Says It Shows Loyalty to Tinubu"

The Northeast chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Parliament has praised Nigeria's Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, for his performance at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), describing him as a worthy ambassador of the nation.

In a statement issued on Monday in Bauchi, the parliament's chairman, Kabir Garba Kobi, commended the Vice President for what he called an "exemplary representation" of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria on the global stage.

"By insisting that Africa deserves a permanent seat on the UN Security Council and affirming the rights of Palestinians to a homeland, the Vice President placed Nigeria firmly on the side of justice, fairness, and global equity," the statement read.

The Youth Parliament praised Shettima for drawing global debates into Nigeria’s local realities, referencing issues like flooding in Maiduguri, insecurity, and economic challenges. According to the group, this showed his determination to seek homegrown solutions while strengthening international cooperation.

"Vice President Shettima did not just read a script; he carried the aspirations of millions of Nigerians," Kobi stated. "His words resonated with both truth and hope, sending a message that Nigeria is prepared to lead Africa in the global conversation."

The parliament urged Nigerians to take pride in Shettima's international performance, describing it as "intelligent loyalty and courageous representation" that reaffirms Nigeria’s readiness to shape global conversations in Africa’s favor.

On speculations about 2027 politics, the Northeast APC Youth Parliament cautioned advocates of a paradigm shift in the party's ticket to "think twice before leaping," stressing that Shettima’s loyalty to President Tinubu is unwavering.

The group noted that Shettima's delivery at the UNGA reflected both loyalty to President Tinubu and commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, further solidifying his position as a key figure in Nigerian politics.
