The Kebbi Development Forum (KDF) has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Government and good people of Kebbi State, particularly the Zuru Emirate, over the demise of His Royal Highness, Major General Sani Sami (Rtd), Gomo II, the revered Emir of Zuru.
In a condolence message signed by Dr. Saidu Abubakar, Abdullahi Sani Mungadi, Chairman of the Executive Council and Secretary of the Executive Council, the KDF described the late Emir as a distinguished leader, statesman, and custodian of the cherished cultural heritage of the people.
"The passing of His Royal Highness is not only a great loss to the Zuru Emirate, but indeed to Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole," the statement read. "He was a distinguished leader, a statesman, and a custodian of our cherished cultural heritage. His reign was marked by an unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and development."
The KDF shared in the grief of the Zuru people and prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives all the late Emir's earthly sins, saves him from the torments of the grave, and grants him Jannah of the highest order. "We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) in His infinite mercy forgive all his earthly sins, save him from the torments of the grave, grant him Jannah of the highest order and give us all the fortitude to bear his loss," the statement added.
The KDF expressed its deepest sympathy to the people of Zuru Emirate and Kebbi State, assuring them of their solidarity during this difficult time. "Please accept the deepest sympathy of Kebbi Development Forum (KDF)," the statement concluded.
