The Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has marked a milestone birthday, clocking 60 years and renewing his commitment to sustaining ongoing developmental projects and service to humanity.
According to a press release, Governor Idris expressed deep appreciation for the numerous goodwill messages he received from individuals, groups, and notable political institutions on his birthday, which was celebrated on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
"I thank Almighty Allah for sparing my life to witness my 60th birthday," Governor Idris said shortly after receiving a birthday gift from the 'Kaura 4 Governor' K4G group at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi. "It is a rare privilege, people have come from far and near, within and outside Kebbi State, to celebrate with me. I am truly joyful."
The Governor acknowledged the Nigeria Governors' Forum and the Progressive Governors' Forum (APC Governors' Forum) for their kind birthday best wishes and reaffirmed his dedication to the progress and transformation of Kebbi State.
"As Allah has granted me 60 years, I pray He gives me more years in good health to continue to uplift the wellbeing of our people," Governor Idris added.
The Kaura 4 Governor association, led by its Chairman, Hon. Sanusi Muhammad Zagga, presented a large portrait to the Governor at a brief ceremony, praising him for his developmental strides, especially his commitment to youth employment and empowerment in various sectors.
"Special prayers were offered for the Governor, Kebbi State, and Nigeria, for longevity, good health, prosperity, and Divine Protection," the association said.
Governor Idris expressed gratitude to the members of the association for their loyalty and support, reaffirming the focus of his administration on socioeconomic growth in Kebbi. He also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of youths and women to good governance, saying that his administration has placed a premium on even development in both urban centers and rural areas.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, the Head of Service, Alhaji Malami Shekare, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Special Advisers, politicians, and members of the "Kaura 4 Governor" group.
