ADC Kebbi Denounces APC's Attempt to Undermine Party, Malami's Credibility

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Kebbi State Chapter, led by Chairman Barrister Aminu Suleiman, has condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC) for attempting to sow discord within the party and embark on a smear campaign against Abubakar Malami, SAN, a leading member of the party in Kebbi State.

In a statement signed by Engr. Sufiyanu Bala, the party described the APC's actions as "desperate" and "calculated attempts to undermine the credibility, integrity, and political standing" of the ADC and Malami. The ADC alleged that the APC is behind a planned press conference scheduled for August 12, 2025, in Kebbi State, aimed at creating division and casting doubt on Malami's legitimate membership of the ADC.

"The sole purpose of this event is to create unholy division, factionalize ADC, and cast baseless doubts on Malami's legitimate membership of the ADC," the statement read. The party attributed the APC's actions to desperation, saying the party has lost the confidence of the people through unfulfilled promises and divisive governance.

"The APC, having lost the confidence of the people through years of unfulfilled promises and divisive governance, is now resorting to underhanded tactics in a futile attempt to derail the ADC's momentum," the statement added.

The ADC described Malami as a respected legal luminary and dedicated son of Kebbi State whose values and principles align with the party's core ideals. "Abubakar Malami, SAN, is on not only a respected legal luminary of national repute but also a dedicated son of Kebbi State whose values, principles, and vision for the state perfectly align with the core ideals of the ADC—justice, inclusivity, equity, and sustainable development," the statement read.

The party called on the people of Kebbi State to reject divisive propaganda and remain vigilant, urging them to rally behind the ADC as it works to entrench transparent governance, economic empowerment, and social justice for all.
