Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria–June 12, 2026 (Series News Online)– Aides of Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero on Friday used Nigeria’s Democracy Day to present a detailed account of constituency interventions across Kebbi Central and restate loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.
Addressing journalist in Birnin Kebbi, Abubakar Bagudu Kalgo, an aide to the senator, said the briefing was convened to showcase projects delivered under the senator’s mandate and to celebrate democratic ideals.
“Today is Democracy Day, and it truly symbolizes our collective resilience and dedication to democratic values and good governance in Nigeria,” Abubakar Bagudu Kalgo said.
Kalgo spoke for Senator Aliero, CON, the constituency office staff, and supporters across the eight Local Government Areas of Kebbi Central. He extended goodwill messages to the nation’s top leaders.
“On behalf of Distinguished Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, the entire constituency office staff, and our numerous supporters across Kebbi State, especially in the eight LGAs of Kebbi Central, I sincerely felicitate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, on this historic Democracy Day celebration,” Kalgo stated.
He linked Senator Aliero’s support for the APC administration at federal and state levels to national interest and internal party stability.
“Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero’s decision to work in tandem with the APC-led government at both federal and state levels stems from his patriotism, his drive for party unity, and his commitment to reinforce Governor Nasir Idris’s efforts to rebuild Kebbi and place it on a stronger economic footing,” Kalgo explained.
The aide said constituents had already begun to feel the impact of the senator’s representation through visible projects in every LGA under Kebbi Central.
“Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, backed by the mandate of Kebbi Central voters, has performed creditably. The results of his interventions are visible across all eight Local Government Areas in the zone,” Kalgo said.
Kalgo stressed that the senator’s work extends beyond lawmaking to include direct community investments.
“Apart from his core legislative responsibilities, Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, CON, has facilitated several constituency projects that touch lives directly. These span education, health care, basic infrastructure like roads and drainage, solar street lighting, and agricultural support such as tractors, bulls, fertilizers, and herbicides,” he noted.
He added that the Political and Constituency Affairs Unit had documented specifics of each project for public scrutiny.
“The Political and Constituency Affairs Unit has compiled full details of the projects, their locations, beneficiary communities, and technical specifications for transparency and public awareness. Interested readers should refer to the published document,” Kalgo said.
Kalgo also applauded Governor Idris for providing steady leadership, especially during party consensus arrangements ahead of elections.
“On behalf of Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, who represents Kebbi Central, I express deep appreciation to our state party leader and Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for his exemplary leadership and for ensuring peaceful consensus among aspirants for elective offices,” Kalgo said.
He further commended APC structures from state to local government level for managing primaries without rancour and urged residents to maintain support for the administration’s roadmap.
“APC remains the party with a clear development blueprint for Kebbi people. Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, is leading us toward prosperity, empowerment, and improved infrastructure. Every well-meaning citizen of Kebbi must stand with him to consolidate these gains now and beyond 2027,” Kalgo said.
