"Darazo-Ganjuwa to Benefit from 30 Water Projects by 2027 – Soro"

The lawmaker representing Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Mansur Manu Soro, has inaugurated a solar-powered water scheme featuring 1,000 meters of reticulation at the proposed Darazo-Ganjuwa College. During an on-site inspection visit yesterday, Hon. Soro stated, "This water scheme is the sixth of its kind I have delivered to my constituents."

 Hon. Soro highlighted that other completed projects are situated at Darazo near the motor park, Soro (Bayan Tashan Buhu), Miya (Unguwan Wudilawa), Sade (Unguwan Ashiru), and Tashan Gabi Soro, the latter of which is 75% complete. He reaffirmed his pledge, saying, "I am committed to delivering a minimum of 30 similar water projects, one in each of the 22 federal wards by June 2027, despite existing challenges."

 To ensure the longevity of these projects, Hon. Soro emphasized the establishment of the Darazo-Ganjuwa Water Management Initiative. He said, "To ensure the sustainability of these vital projects, we have established the Darazo-Ganjuwa Water Management Initiative and trained indigenous youths as water engineers, solar technicians, masons, and plumbers for the maintenance of the water infrastructure."

According to Hon. Soro, the 7th water scheme will proceed at Sabon Kaura - Titin Fada in Soro, while the 8th and 9th phases will be located in Darazo Central and Ganjuwa West, respectively, areas currently experiencing acute water shortages. Hon. Soro added, "I will collaborate closely with stakeholders in the water sector across Darazo and Ganjuwa LGAs to achieve my goals within the set timeframe."

 Hon. Soro also expressed appreciation to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, stating, "I commend Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for creating a conducive environment for intervention in critical sectors in the constituency."
