Meena's Scholars Academy, a private school in Bauchi state, has taken a groundbreaking step by integrating skill acquisition into its academic curriculum. This initiative targets students from upper basic to secondary school levels, aiming to boost their capacity and prepare them for future opportunities.

Speaking at the school's end-of-year prize-giving ceremony, the Proprietress, Mrs. Amina Ahmed, revealed that skill development sessions are now part of the regular academic schedule. She emphasized the growing importance of practical skills in today's world, noting that areas like tailoring, knitting, and computer literacy would be prioritized. Mrs. Ahmed stated, "Parents should embrace and support this initiative. It eliminates the need for expensive holiday training programs, as students can now acquire these skills within school hours."

Mrs. Ahmed further explained that the training sessions will be spread throughout the academic session, allowing students to learn different skills over time. She assured that both boys and girls will participate equally, ensuring inclusive access to every program. She emphasized, "All eligible students will be involved, and no one will be left out."

Mrs. Ahmed also commended the school's teaching staff for their dedication, innovation, and commitment to quality education, stating that their efforts continue to yield positive academic outcomes.

Mrs. Maryam Musa, one of the parents, praised the school's holistic approach to education. She described the school environment as nurturing, adding that students have become confident, intelligent, and capable of competing with their peers anywhere.
