Kebbi IPAC Endorses Governor Idris for Promoting Democracy and Good Governance"

The Kebbi State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has pledged its full support to Governor Nasir Idris, commending his efforts in strengthening democratic practice in the state. This declaration was made during a Sallah homage visit to the Governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, on Thursday.

Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, Chairman of IPAC, praised Governor Idris for promoting democracy through free and fair local government elections, which involved multiple political parties. Muhammad expressed satisfaction with the governor's commitment to good governance, highlighting achievements in infrastructure development, workers' welfare, and inclusiveness.

"We are proud of the massive infrastructural development recorded within a short period," Muhammad said. "This is the first time Kebbi is witnessing a truly people's oriented government that upholds democratic values."

Muhammad assured the governor that IPAC would continue to support his administration and resist any attempts to disrupt the state's peace and progress. He also commended Governor Idris for his labour-friendly leadership, citing the timely payment of the new minimum wage, pensions, and gratuities.

In response, Governor Idris appreciated IPAC's partnership role in promoting democracy and development in Kebbi. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to collaborative efforts and infrastructural development throughout the state.

Additionally, the Association of Retired Local Government Secretaries of Kebbi State, led by Alhaji Umaru Gulumbe, expressed support for the governor during a Sallah homage visit. Governor Idris thanked them for their solidarity, assuring them of continued inclusion in the task of governance.
