The Forum of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) in Kebbi State has commended Governor Nasir Idris for his outstanding achievements in governance, describing him as the best performing governor nationwide. Led by Chairman Alhaji Babangida Abubakar Pele, the forum made the remark during a Sallah homage to the Governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, on Thursday.
Alhaji Babangida praised Comrade Nasir Idris for uplifting the state's infrastructure and improving the socioeconomic wellbeing of its people. "Your Excellency, you are the best performing governor in Nigeria, others follow your lead," he said. "You are also the greatest Chief Executive at the helm of affairs of Kebbi State since its creation."
The Chairman also commended Governor Idris for appointing the highest number of aides nationwide to steer the state's affairs. He expressed gratitude to the Governor for trusting them to serve the people and appealed for their inclusion in stakeholders' meetings across the state.
In response, Governor Idris thanked the Senior Special Assistants for their cooperation and spirit of development. He urged them to mobilize and enlighten the populace about the government's policies and programs aimed at economic growth and prosperity.
The Governor highlighted his administration's achievements in security, education, agricultural production, healthcare services, and project execution across the state. "I will continue to operate an open-door policy and involve all segments of society as active participants and stakeholders," he remarked.
Meanwhile, the Association of Kebbi Entertainers and Drama Performers also paid Sallah homage to the Governor, pledging their support and loyalty. In response, Governor Idris announced plans to construct a modern recording studio in the state to support the entertainment industry's growth and development.
The Governor acknowledged the industry's importance in youth development, job creation, and wealth creation. The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Kebbi State Governor, Yahaya Sarki, signed the press release on April 3, 2025.
