The Kebbi State Government has expressed its gratitude to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for its prompt response in providing relief to the people of the state during periods of disasters and emergencies.

According to the Deputy Governor, Sen. Umar Abubakar Tafida, who received a NEMA delegation at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, the Agency's intervention was instrumental in assisting flood victims in Kebbi last season. "Kebbi State Government appreciates your benevolence... We shall continue to do the needful and always welcome NEMA's intervention to ease life in times of difficulties," Sen. Tafida said.

The NEMA Director of Special Services, Hajiya Fatima Hassan, who led the delegation, informed Sen. Tafida that the Agency would commence the distribution of materials to vulnerable individuals in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday. "We thank Governor Nasir Idris for his cooperation with NEMA to execute its mandate of relief assistance. The Agency acknowledges and appreciates the level of development recorded by the incumbent administration in Kebbi throughout the state," Fatima remarked.

The Kebbi State Government's appreciation for NEMA's timely intervention underscores the importance of collaboration between government agencies and emergency response organizations in providing relief to affected communities.
