The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspects, Yakubu Muhammad and Rabiu Suleiman, for alleged vandalism in Kogi State. According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC, Kogi State Command, DSC Abdullahi Aliyu, the suspects were caught red-handed while vandalizing an Etisalat antenna (mast) in the Okumi (up Nataco) area of Lokoja.
The arrest was made possible by a routine patrol and credible intelligence gathered by the anti-vandal task force of the NSCDC in Kogi State. The Commandant of NSCDC in Kogi State, Akinlade Esther, has pledged to bring to justice any other accomplices who remain at large, leaving no stone unturned in their efforts.
The Commandant urged the people of Kogi State to provide timely and credible information to security agencies to help prevent potential security breaches. She also cautioned individuals with criminal intentions to reconsider their choices, emphasizing that the corps remains committed to protecting lives, properties, and critical national assets and infrastructures.
The suspects will soon be charged to court once the investigation is concluded. This arrest is part of the NSCDC's efforts to combat vandalism and protect critical infrastructure in Kogi State.
