Kebbi State has officially constituted a Publicity Committee for the forthcoming National Quranic Recitation Competition, Kebbi 2024. This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi and made it available to newsmen via Special Adviser (SA) media to the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Sarki.
The eight-member committee, chaired by Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, will oversee publicity efforts for the competition, which is scheduled to take place from 19th to 27th December 2024 in Kebbi State.
It will be recalled that the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera, was appointed by Governor Nasir Idris to chair the main organizing committee tasked with ensuring the successful hosting of the prestigious event.
