Abuja, Nigeria, April 07, 2026(Series News Online) - Distinguished Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwai, describing his death as "a painful and monumental loss to Kebbi State and the nation at large".
The condolence message was issued by Comrade Garba Muhammad, Special Assistant on Media to Senator Na'Allah, and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday.
In the statement, Senator Na'Allah extended his heartfelt sympathies to the Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency Dr. Nasir Idris, the Emir of Zuru, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Sami, and the immediate family of the late Speaker. "The late Rt. Hon. Ankwai was a committed public servant who served with dedication, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility to his people," Senator Na'Allah said.
The Senator recalled the late Speaker's contributions to legislative governance in Kebbi State, describing him as "a bridge-builder and a man of peace". "His untimely demise has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill," he added.
Senator Na'Allah prayed for the repose of the late Speaker's soul, saying "May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, the government, and the people of Kebbi State the strength to bear this irreparable loss".
