Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, spent Saturday night in Pulka, coordinating security efforts following recent attacks in Ngoshe and surrounding communities.
Addressing security personnel and civilian JTF, Zulum emphasized his administration's commitment to sacrifice and service. "Leadership is not about living in your comfort zone and addressing people and their concerns, but coming directly to the doorsteps of the less privileged," he said. "I cannot remember when I lived consecutively for 10 days in my office or even one week since I assumed duty."
Zulum distributed cash and palliatives to over 30,000 households in Ngoshe and Pulka, affected by the recent attacks. "Each male and female head of household in Ngoshe will receive N30,000, while married women will receive N20,000," he announced. The aid package includes food, mattresses, and clothing.
The governor acknowledged support from the Federal Government and Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who donated 30,000 bags of rice. "Out of the 30,000 bags, Pulka community will benefit from the scheme," Zulum said, urging residents to cooperate with security agencies to restore peace.
"We are distributing both food and non-food items not only to Ngoshe but also Pulka, which is also a displacement-affected community," he added. Zulum was accompanied by Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, Hon. Ahmed Jaha, and other government officials.
