FRSC Zaria Returns ₦3.7m Recovered from Crash Scene to Victims

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Zaria Unit Command has returned ₦3,727,500 in cash, along with other valuables worth approximately ₦500,000, to the victims of a tragic road crash that occurred on Sunday, March 15, 2026, along the Zaria- Funtua Highway.

"The incident occurred on Sunday, March 15, 2026, along the Zaria- Funtua Highway near Zaria Academy Shika. A Toyota Corolla and a Peugeot 806 collided, leaving nine passengers involved. One person died on the spot, while the remaining eight sustained varying degrees of injuries," said CRC Nasiru A. Falgore, Ag. Unit Commander, FRSC Zaria.

Falgore explained that the FRSC rescue operatives were swiftly mobilized upon receiving the report and provided immediate first aid before rushing the injured victims to ABU Teaching Hospital, Shika, for further medical treatment. "During the post-crash management and clearance operation, the diligent FRSC team discovered and secured the substantial cash amount and other valuable items scattered at the scene," he added.

The FRSC commended the efforts of its personnel for their professionalism and integrity in handling the situation. The recovered cash and valuables were handed over to the victims or their families, providing some relief during a difficult time.
