Aminu Suleiman Foundation Supports 300 Students, Empowers 1,500 Households for Sallah

The Hon. Aminu Suleiman Foundation has distributed N50 million in tuition fees to 300 indigent students and provided food items and other assistance to 1,500 households in Kebbi State, ahead of the Sallah festivities.

"Education is the bedrock of societal development, and no meaningful progress can be achieved without empowering the younger generation through learning," said Alhaji Aminu Suleiman, Founder and National Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), at a distribution event on Thursday in Birnin Kebbi.

Suleiman emphasized that the initiative aimed to alleviate hardship, promote access to education, and invest in the future of children from vulnerable backgrounds. "Education is the greatest gift we can give to our children. When you educate a child, you empower a family, strengthen a community, and secure the future of the nation," he said.

The foundation has prioritized sponsoring indigent students to ensure that no child is denied education due to financial constraints. "We will continue to invest in human capital development as a strategic approach to nation-building," Suleiman added.

Malam Samaila Abubakar, Secretary of Al-Ilmu Science Academy, Birnin Kebbi, said the beneficiaries of the scholarship included orphans, the less privileged, and persons living with disabilities. "The foundation has sustained this initiative over the years, sponsoring 300 students annually," he said.

The foundation has expended over N50 million on the programme, providing free education for students pursuing the National Certificate in Education (NCE) at the academy, which is affiliated with Kura College of Education, Kano State.

Beneficiaries commended the foundation for the timely and impactful intervention. "I am grateful for this opportunity. Without this support, it would have been difficult for me to continue my studies," said Aisha Mohammed, a student.

Another beneficiary, Malam Ibrahim Lawal, said the assistance would support his household ahead of Eid-el-fitir. "This support has come at the right time when many families are struggling. We pray for the foundation to continue with this gesture," he said.
