Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, is set to launch the 2026 Dry Season Farming programme and distribute Ramadan palliatives to over one million beneficiaries across the state. The event, taking place at Haliru Audu Stadium, will also feature the distribution of 5,000 power tillers and other farming inputs to farmers in the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
"We are committed to supporting our citizens during this holy month of Ramadan and boosting food production in the state," Hon. Shehu Muazu said, adding that the gesture underscores his administration's people-centred approach to governance.

The dignitaries expected to attend the event include Minister of Agriculture, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, other ministers, senators representing Kebbi State at the National Assembly, and members of the House of Representatives.
Hon. Commissioner of Agriculture, Shehu Muazu, revealed that the administration has procured a wide range of farming inputs, including rice, maize, millet, fertilizers, herbicides, power tillers, solar pumps, and CNG water pumps, to support both dry and wet season farming.
"This initiative is designed to cushion the effects of hardship during Ramadan and accelerate agricultural productivity, strengthening food security across Kebbi State," Commissioner Shehu Muazu stated.
