The Kebbi State First Lady hosted a grand Iftar (Break of Fasting) at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Monday, urging Muslims to cultivate kindness and generosity during the holy month of Ramadan.
In her remarks, the First Lady expressed gratitude to all those who joined her for the Iftar, saying, "I am grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the opportunity to witness another Ramadan in good health. I appreciate your presence here today, and thank you for joining me for Iftar despite the importance of sharing the meal with your own families."
She emphasized the rewards of sharing Iftar with others, stating, "I urge the Muslim Ummah, particularly wives of dignitaries and political office holders, to continue showing kindness by sharing Iftar with others. The rewards that come with such acts of generosity during Ramadan are immense."
The grand Iftar was attended by prominent women from across the state, including the Wife of the Deputy Governor, wives of State House of Assembly members, female Commissioners, and permanent secretaries, among others.
The gathering was a reflection of the values of compassion, generosity, and community that Ramadan embodies, providing an opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation and bonding among the guests.
The First Lady's call for kindness and generosity has been welcomed by the community, highlighting the importance of Ramadan as a period for strengthening social bonds and promoting goodwill.
