The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Kebbi State has announced its support for the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP), reaffirming its commitment to youth empowerment and national development. This announcement was made during a courtesy visit by NYP members representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, led by Hon. Abubakar Aliyu Wasagu, to the NOA office in Kebbi State.

Wasagu explained that the NYP aims to empower Nigerian youth by providing a platform for meaningful representation, advocacy, and leadership development. "The NYP acts as a bridge to the real government, influencing policies on issues such as employment, education, health, and digital skills," he said.

Key areas of focus for the NYP include youth representation and advocacy, legislative training, leadership development, policy input, community and national development, and serving as an intermediary between the youth and government.

Responding, NOA State Director, Mal Nasir Muhammed Karofi, thanked the team for recognizing the Agency's relevance. "We pledge support and synergy to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the teeming youths in Nigeria," he said, emphasizing NOA's mandate to educate and sensitize the public on government policies and activities.

Karofi outlined NOA's four structures: National Headquarters, Zonal offices, State Directorate, and Local Government Areas, highlighting the Agency's reach and potential for collaboration with youth organizations like the NYP.
