Kebbi First Lady Applauds APC Woman Leader, Calls for Intensified E-Registration Drive

Birnin Kebbi, Jan 25, 2026 (Series News Online) – The First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab  Nasare Nasir, commended the State APC Woman Leader for her “tireless mobilisation of women stakeholders” in the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise. 

Speaking at the APC stakeholders’ awareness programme held at the State Conference Hall of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in Birnin Kebbi over the weekend, she urged women to “step up their efforts and secure their e‑registration cards” to strengthen party inclusion.

Represented by Professor  Halima Muhammad Bande, the First Lady charged participants to “take the registration process down to their communities and ensure every party member is captured.” She emphasized that grassroots involvement is crucial for a transparent and modernised party database.

State Woman Leader Hajiya  Aisha Gunabi explained that the e‑registration initiative aligns with the APC’s broader goal of “modernising party operations, enhancing transparency, and keeping membership records current.” She reminded attendees that “existing members must validate their details, while new and intending members are welcome to join.”

“Participants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) to complete the registration,” Gunabi added. She called on all 225 ward women leaders, female councillors, local‑government women leaders, and wives of local‑government chairmen to “return to their communities and assist residents at the grassroots level to register in the ongoing Membership Electronic‑Registration Exercise.”

The event concluded with a collective pledge from women stakeholders to intensify mobilisation across Kebbi State, reinforcing the party’s commitment to inclusive, technology‑driven membership management.
