Kuka community in Kalgo Local Government Area of Kebbi State has expressed its gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for fulfilling his campaign promise to rehabilitate their general hospital. The community leaders, Mal. Sahabi Shehu and Mal. Umar Zaki, praised the Governor's efforts in providing free healthcare services and equipping hospitals with necessary equipment.
"We are overwhelmed and joyful that he has fulfilled his promise. We want to assure Governor Idris that Kuka community is behind him 100%. God willing, in 2027, we will elect him for a second term," Shehu said.

Governor Idris made an unscheduled visit to the community, inspecting the ongoing rehabilitation project at the general hospital. The hospital is one of eight being rehabilitated by the state government.

"The community has supported me, and Kalgo Local Government is my local government. I started my journey here as a primary school teacher, and it was from here I was elected State NUT Chairman. That's where my rise began, and I'm grateful," Idris said.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the hospital's progress, directing the Health Ministry to post doctors and nurses to the facility. He also approved the employment of additional staff, prioritizing locals.
Idris inspected the community's major road, ordering repairs to commence immediately. He reminded residents to register for INEC voter cards and renew their APC party membership.

"Kuka community is my home. I am proud of Kalgo Local Government and its people," Idris said, applauding Local Government Chairman Hon. Yahaya Kuka's efforts.

The Governor's visit underscores his commitment to delivering on campaign promises and improving lives.
