The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, has received a courtesy visit from the Council of Ulama'u and the executive of National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria (NASWDEN) Kogi State chapter, as part of efforts to strengthen community policing initiatives and enhance security in the state.
During the visit, CP Kankarofi emphasized the importance of interfaith dialogue and collaboration in maintaining peace and stability in the state.
"Interfaith dialogue and collaboration are crucial in addressing security concerns and promoting community policing," he said. "We are committed to working together with religious leaders to promote peace and stability in the state."
The Leader of the Council, Alh. Idris Babango, expressed appreciation for the Commissioner's efforts in ensuring the safety of citizens and pledged the Ulama'u's support in promoting peace and stability in the state.
"We appreciate the Commissioner's efforts in ensuring the safety of citizens and pledge our support in promoting peace and stability in the state," Babango said.
"Scrap dealers play a vital role in our economic development, and we must work together to prevent the trade of stolen or explosive materials," he said.
The State chairman of NASWDEN, Alh. Hashimu Usman Maigemu, commended the Commissioner of Police for the warm reception and assured of robust working synergy to prevent the trade of stolen or explosive materials.
"We commend the Commissioner for his efforts in enhancing security in the state and assure him of our cooperation in preventing the trade of stolen or explosive materials," Maigemu said.
