Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, Nigeria-November 27, 2025(Series News Online)- Gov. Nasir Idris of Kebbi, on Thursday, presented N642.9 billion appropriation budget for 2026 fiscal year to the Kebbi House of Assembly.
Presenting the budget in Birnin Kebbi, Gov. Idris, said that capital expenditure represents 70 per cent while current expenditure represents 25 per cent of the total sum of the budget.
He said that the top priority of the budget would be given to areas such as basic education, agriculture, health, infrastructural development and empowerment, among others.
The governor thanked members of the house and his executive members for their unwavering support to his administration, saying the support facilitated the recorded tremendous successes of the government in the state.
Responding, the Speakers of the house, Rt. Hon. Speaker, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Zuru, assured the governor that the house would give the budget a speedy deliberation and passage.
He also thanked the governor for the harmonious working relationship between the executive and legislature form the inception of his administration to date.
