Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has taken a significant step towards improving education in his constituency with the commissioning of a modern Islamiyya School in Yalwan Duguri, Alkaleri local government area of Bauchi State. The project is part of the Senator's ongoing commitment to enhancing the welfare and educational development of his constituents.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Senator Buba explained that the construction of the Islamiyya school followed a request from community members, and he immediately approved it to enhance access to quality Islamic and moral education. "This school is a fulfillment of my campaign promise to provide the people with basic educational infrastructure and other essential services. Education remains the foundation for a better future, and I am determined to contribute to that cause," the Senator stated.
The Senator commended the teachers and students for their dedication, urging them to make the best use of the new facility to promote learning and discipline. He also highlighted his administration's initiatives in education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure development across his constituency.

The school's Principal, Muhammad Adamu, expressed deep appreciation to the Senator for his intervention, noting that the school has already attracted more students eager to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. "We thank Senator Buba for putting smiles on the faces of our people. We promise to take good care of this school so that it will serve our community for many years," Adamu said.
Hassan Abdullahi Gaji, one of the Senator's aides who supervised the project, explained that before its construction, students were learning in a borrowed residential house. He added that the new facility was constructed to modern standards and includes a mosque to support both academic and religious learning.

The Senator's efforts in improving education and infrastructure in the area were evident in his subsequent visit to a Friday mosque in Birun village, which is nearing completion and will soon be commissioned.
