Gov. Nasir Gifts Laptops to 340 Kebbi Students Studying in India

The Kebbi State Government and its students studying in India have strengthened their bond through a generous laptop distribution ceremony. The event, held at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, saw 340 brand new laptops handed over to the students.

Representing the Governor, Hon. Shafiu Abubakar Zauro, Special Adviser on Special Duties, emphasized the state government's commitment to providing essential learning tools to its students abroad. "This gesture is a testament to the Governor's dedication to education and his vision for a brighter future for Kebbi's youth," he said.

Hon. Zauro highlighted Gov. Idris' achievements in the education sector, including settling tuition and scholarship fees for all Kebbi students in tertiary institutions worldwide. "The Governor's background as an educator has driven his passion for reforming the education system," he noted.

The Special Adviser urged the students to excel academically and uphold moral values, serving as good ambassadors of Kebbi State and Nigeria. The University management praised Gov. Idris for his continued support and care for Kebbi students.

This initiative is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to improve education in Kebbi State. Since taking office in 2023, Gov. Idris has consistently demonstrated his commitment to education, sponsoring tuition and scholarship fees for students in Nigeria and abroad.
