She encouraged the NBA to continue assisting victims of GBV at the special court, assuring that she will channel the challenges faced by the NBA to the Governor for a lasting solution.
Barrister Aminu Hassan, Chairman of the NBA, highlighted the challenges faced by the judiciary in enforcing GBV laws, particularly interference by politicians and wealthy individuals. "The NBA is committed to working with the Kebbi State government to ensure that GBV laws are enforced effectively. We believe that collaboration with the office of the First Lady will help us achieve this goal and create a safer environment for all," he added.
The NBA pledged its support to the present administration under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris, while highlighting some of the Governor's contributions to the NBA in Kebbi State. These include the appointment of a seasoned lawyer as Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of the state, appointment of permanent secretaries who are lawyers, and a donation of N100 million to build the NBA state secretariat.
