For attempting to bring discord and disharmony to Kebbi State, the people are to take former Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, to court for defamation.
The Special Adviser to the Governor for Special Duties, Shafi'u Abubakar Shattiman Zauro, announced this at a News briefing in Birnin Kebbi, this Wednesday.
Shafi'u Zauro criticized the former Attorney-General for making frivolous allegations that the incumbent Kebbi State Government was sponsoring terrorism.
"Most of us who know Malami are not surprised by his antics, he once took his master, Atiku Abubakar to Court that he's a non Nigerian",
"His antecedents were also manifest when he took former member, House of Representatives, Wambam KoKo, now his close associate, to the ICPC and the EFCC when Wambai at that time indicated interest to contest for governorship",
"Malami is not a lover of Kebbi, he has not shown benevolence to the people nor contributed to the infrastructural development of the state, including his alma mata, Junju primary school",
"Kebbi is known for absolute peace and tranquility, he's not happy about the successes recorded by incumbent Governor Nasir Idris on the development of the state",
"Comrade Idris has brought investment into Kebbi, especially in the mining sector, which is making Malami envious because he did not do it when he was Minister',
"At a time Governor Nasir Idris is focused on the development of Kebbi, Malami's only contribution is chaos and Ill-will",
"Consequently, it's a decision of the people of our dear state to take legal action against Malami for defamation, character assassination and troubleshooting",
"We do not subscribe to violence, what we desire is the sustenance of peace and tranquility in Kebbi, a land of abundance and surplus food, devoid of rancour", Shafi'u emphasized.
