"Clean Water for All: Flourish Foundation Commissions Borehole in Birnin Kebbi, Bunza Area"

A philanthropic gesture by Lady Favour Ezeh, founder of Flourish Foundation Team, brought joy to the residents of Behind Zinari Hotel area in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, as she commissioned a borehole project on Thursday. The project, constructed and financed by Lady Ezeh, aims to improve the living conditions of the people in the area by providing access to clean water.

Lady Ezeh, a native of Anambra State who has resided in Kebbi State for 12 years, emphasized the importance of clean water in promoting good health. "Water is essential for life, and everyone deserves access to it," she said. "That's why I'm committed to giving back to the community."

The borehole project is part of Lady Ezeh's broader philanthropic initiatives, which include feeding inmates at the local correctional facilities, empowering women, and providing scholarships to students. According to her, Flourish Foundation Team has been visiting correctional facilities, feeding 500 women every three months, and empowering 21 women in the central market with cash gifts to start their own businesses.

Comrade Maryjane, Chief Cultural Officer with the Ministry of Information and Culture, and Ejiogu Cynthia, a secondary school teacher with the Secondary School Management Board (SSMB) Birnin Kebbi, were part of the Flourish Foundation project team that worked tirelessly to bring this project to fruition. Their dedication and commitment to the foundation's mission are truly commendable.

Government officials, including Comrade Isah Umar Gwandu, Permanent Secretary Ministry for Water Resources, Hon. Sufiyanu Garba Bena, Former Head of Civil Service and DG Argungu International and Fishing Festival, and Hon. Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa, Birnin Kebbi Local Government Council Chairman, attended the commissioning ceremony. They praised Lady Ezeh for her selfless act, noting that it demonstrates the unity and inclusiveness of the people of Kebbi State.

"We appreciate Lady Ezeh's gesture and assure her that we will present her efforts to Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for recognition and necessary action," Comrade Gwandu said. "We urge more individuals to emulate her example and give back to society."

Chief Osita Mgbeafuluba, Special Assistant to the Kebbi State Governor on Other Tribes, expressed gratitude to Lady Ezeh for her kindness to the community. "This act shows that we are all one and brother keepers," he said. "I appeal to the Igbo community to continue supporting the present administration."

The commissioning of the borehole project is a testament to the impact of philanthropy in the community. Similar projects were also commissioned in other areas, including Loko, Sabon Birnin ward in Bunzu Local Government Area, where food was distributed to the community.

Hakimi Muhammad Bello Loko, the ward head, thanked Lady Ezeh for her kindness and offered special prayers for her. "We are grateful for this gesture, and we promise to take good care of the borehole," he said.
