The District Head of Bargu, Sarkin Bargun Ka'oje, Alhaji Mustapha Usman Adamu, has conferred the prestigious traditional title of "SADAUKIN BARGU" on the Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu. The ceremony took place in the Palace in Kaoje, Bagudo Local Government Area, on Saturday.
According to Alhaji Mustapha Usman Adamu, the decision to honour the Governor with the title was a collective resolution by the traditional Council members and the people of the area. "This is in recognition of his love for the Bargu people and the numerous developmental projects executed by his administration in Kaoje and across Bagudo Local Government Area," he explained.
The District Head expressed sincere appreciation to the Governor for visiting the area and spending the night in Kaoje. "Apart from the late Governor Shehu Kangiwa of the defunct Sokoto State, Governor Idris was the only sitting Chief Executive to have done so in Kaoje during a working visit," he said.
Hon. Bello Abubakar Kaoje, Member representing Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives, also spoke at the ceremony, expressing profound gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for honouring the community with his presence. "You have shown tremendous love to the people of Kaoje, especially by taking the time to spend the night here," he remarked.
In response, Governor Idris accepted the title with joy, praising the District Head for his vital role in the Gwandu Emirate Council and lauding Hon. Bello Kaoje for positively impacting on the lives of his constituents. The Governor also approved the request to renovate the Government Lodge in Kaoje.
