"Tinubu's Economic Policies Driving Growth - Matawalle, Yari Backers"

A movement known as the Shehi and Matawalle Project for Tinubu 2nd Term Mandate 2027 has been inaugurated in Kaduna in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second-term bid. The event marked the beginning of a renewed journey of loyalty, consolidation, and grassroots mobilization.

In his welcome address, the Secretary General of the movement, Dr. Ahmad Hashim, said the Shehi and Matawalle Project is more than a campaign structure, but a strategic movement designed to ensure the continuity and consolidation of President Tinubu's leadership come 2027. According to him, the project drew its strength from the loyal structures and enduring influence of two great sons of the Northwest - Hon. Minister of State for Defence Bello Mohammed Matawalle and Senator Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar.

Fielding questions from journalists, the Publicity Secretary of the group, Auwal Mohammed, described the alliance between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate of Labour Party Peter Obi, and former Governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-rufai, among others, as a waste of time and resources.

Mohammed explained that Nigerians should support the Tinubu-led administration beyond 2027 because of its people-oriented policies, which are driving the economy to the right path. "The present administration under its 'Renewed Hope agenda' has formulated policies that are yielding positive results," he said.

Earlier, the Zonal Coordinator of the group, Hon. Babangida Haruna Damba, highlighted some of the achievements of the Tinubu administration, including economic reforms such as fuel subsidy removal and FX unification, road rehabilitation, and rural electrification.

Damba charged the newly inaugurated executives to mobilize, educate, and sustain the movement for President Tinubu's return in 2027. "As newly inaugurated executives, your mission is to mobilize, educate, and sustain the movement for the return of Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027," he said.

Speaking on the sidelines, the Special Adviser on Housekeeping to the Katsina State Governor, Mohammed Auwal, urged Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu's administration. "Nigeria is not the only country going through economic crisis. It's a global issue. We should be hopeful and pray for the survival of the country. The insecurity bedeviling the nation is surmountable," he said.
