According to Dr. Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu, National President of Northern Consensus Movement, "Under the leadership of COAS Oluyede, the Nigerian Army has remained resolute in countering terrorism and other threats within Nigeria."
The Nigerian Army's history dates back to 1863 with the formation of the "Glover Hausas" by Lieutenant Glover of the Royal Navy. Over the years, the Army has played a crucial role in major global conflicts, internal security operations, and peacekeeping efforts across Africa.
Dr. Abdullahi praised COAS Oluyede's leadership, saying, "His leadership has been instrumental in the Army's success in maintaining peace and stability in Nigeria and beyond."
