Bauchi, June 21, 2025– The People's Democratic Party (PDP) Bauchi State Chapter has congratulated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award conferred by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
In a congratulatory message signed by the State PDP Publicity Secretary, Dr. Dayyabu Chiroma, the party described Governor Bala Mohammed as a seasoned journalist, then as a distinguished public servant who rose through the ranks from Senator to Minister, and now as a two-term governor. "This highest and most prestigious honour reflects the culmination of Governor Bala’s outstanding and transformative contributions to journalism, governance, and the deepening of democracy in Nigeria," the statement read.
Dr. Chiroma further noted that Governor Bala's commitment to nation-building and his consistency in delivering results stand as a source of inspiration to the entire PDP family and the Nigerian populace. "His lifelong dedication to the pen profession and public service has made him not only a pride to Bauchi State but also a shining example of leadership, resilience, and statesmanship across the country," he said.
The PDP expressed its collective pride in Governor Bala's achievement, describing him as "a credit to your profession, a go-getter to the people of Bauchi State, and a shining star among your contemporaries." Dr. Chiroma added that the award was "richly deserved."
The party concluded by offering heartfelt prayers for Governor Bala's continued success and greater accomplishments in the future.
