Birnin Kebbi, June 16, 2025 – The fourth batch of Kebbi State pilgrims has arrived at Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi around 9:21 local time, marking a successful completion of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to the holy land.
This batch of pilgrims consists of individuals from Arewa Local Government Area and Kebbi government officials who were part of the state's delegation to Saudi Arabia. The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency had earlier fixed May 9 as the commencement date for the airlift of pilgrims from the state for the 2025 Hajj exercise, with a total of 3,800 intending pilgrims expected to participate.
The agency's chairman, Faruk Musa Enabo, commended Governor Nasir Idris for appointing capable and experienced personalities as members of the state's delegation for this year's Hajj exercise. "The governor's appointment of capable and experienced personalities as members of the state's delegation has contributed significantly to the success of the pilgrimage," Enabo said.
