"Zamfara Govt Donates Vehicles to Police to Enhance Security"

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, has commissioned a fleet of operational vehicles donated by the Zamfara State Government to enhance the fight against insecurity in the state. The commissioning ceremony, which took place at the Gusau trade fair complex, was attended by government officials, senior police officers, officers from sister security agencies, traditional rulers, and members of the media.

The IGP was ably represented at the event by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 10 Headquarters, Sokoto, AIG Gyogon Augustine Grimah psc, FCAI. AIG Grimah commended the Zamfara State Government for its proactive support in strengthening security and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to utilizing the vehicles for strategic policing across the state.

The symbolic handover and commissioning marked a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to combat banditry, kidnapping, and other security challenges in Zamfara State. AIG Grimah stated that the vehicles would be used to enhance policing operations and improve security in the state.

The donation of operational vehicles by the Zamfara State Government is a testament to the government's commitment to supporting security agencies in the fight against insecurity. The Nigeria Police Force has expressed its gratitude to the state government for its support and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the state.
