"Senator Buba Gives N27.5m for Islamic School Infrastructure"

Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has made a significant contribution to the development of Markazu Ahlissunnah Wal-Jama'a Islamic School in Madugu village, Bauchi state. During the school's Qur'anic graduation ceremony, Senator Buba announced a donation of N27.5 million to support infrastructure development at the school.

The senator pledged N25 million for the construction of a mosque and toilets for the school, in addition to N2 million given to the graduating students and N500,000 to a teacher who composed a song in his honour. Speaking at the ceremony, Senator Buba emphasized the importance of Qur'anic education, urging students to not only memorize but live by its teachings.
"I am proud to be part of this school. Every two years, we witness pupils graduating, having memorized the Holy Qur'an or mastered its recitation. It brings me great joy to support such achievements," Senator Buba said. He congratulated the students, their families, and the teachers, acknowledging the school's consistent academic and spiritual progress.

The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, also pledged his support for the school, committing over N30 million for the completion of additional classrooms and the construction of a perimeter wall around the school. The governor's commitment was reiterated by the state Commissioner for Education, Dr. Lawan Mohammed Rimin Zayam, who represented him at the ceremony.
The District Head of Toro, Alhaji Umar Adamu Toro, expressed gratitude to both Senator Buba and Governor Mohammed for their dedication to educational development in the region. Another notable figure, Alhaji Abdulmuninu Mai Shanu Shafa (AYM Shafa), pledged to build a classroom block for the school.

The director of the school, Aminu Rabiu Abubakar, stated that the school was established in 2008 with the aim of imparting religious and moral education. He noted that this event marks the 9th-10th graduation ceremony of the students, highlighting the school's commitment to academic and spiritual excellence
